About A Better Deal Tires & Wheels
Located at 709 W Rancier Ave, Killeen, TX 76541, A Better Deal Tires & Wheels operates as a tire shop serving Killeen in Texas. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it.
Tire shops sell and install new tires, patch punctures, balance wheels and, at most locations, align the suspension. Prices are quoted per tire plus mounting, balancing, valve stems and a state disposal fee for the old set; many shops price-match and include free rotation and flat repair for the life of the tire. Used tire shops sell inspected take-offs for a fraction of the price of new ones, useful for an older car or a single replacement, but check the tread depth (4/32 inch or more) and the DOT date code, since rubber ages even on the shelf. Mobile tire services come to your driveway or the roadside, commercial shops handle semi, trailer, farm and off-road tires, and wheel shops repair and refinish bent or curb-scraped rims.
The business lists hours on 7 days of the week. The most common schedule is 8 am–6 pm. As with most places, expect changes around holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. You can reach A Better Deal Tires & Wheels at (254) 245-6371; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions.
With 3.8 out of 5 on Google from 51 reviews, it sits in the middle of the range for tire shops in Killeen. Recent reviews are the best guide.
Killeen is in Texas, in the South, where summers are hot and humid, winters are short, and severe storms in spring are a fact of life; businesses run air conditioning most of the year and many open early to beat the heat. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Killeen follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

Put wrong tire on purpose! Acted like he told me he was doing it! I clearly have messages of the owner and me. I specifically said what size i needed, as I have a tesla. Now I have many codes and faults, all my safety features are disabled. If I get I to an accident, he will be completely st fault. As he has told me he gave me what I payed for.

PLEASE DO NOT DO BUSINESS HERE! BAD BUSINESS. I purchased a used tire. CASH only! They put the wrong size on my AWD SUV. I notified them-the next day when I noticed my car wasn’t driving correctly. He told me to come back in. As I did. They did not have the correct size. So put my old tire back on after searching. In asking for a refund due to working out of town and traveling with my young child back and forth-expressing my fear of it being a safety issue to wait. The gentleman called his boss who cussed him telling him do not give me any money. That I could wait until he could find me another tire. Unfortunately I had to express to the employee and I didn’t have the ability to express it to the owner what bad business that is to not refund a customer who for no fault of their own was dissatisfied with the service received. All for $85.00.

This small business and Derrick, the tire tech, did more for getting me back on the road safely than 3 major chains could even bother to do. The service was prompt, the price was reasonable $120/tire and the customer service was great. Found out i had a flat tire at 130pm on a Sunday. Roadside assistance took 3 hours, but the time the tire was replaced it was 430pm and i needed to buy a real tire. I went to Pepboys AND Firestone and they couldn't bother to spend 10-15minutes to replace a tire because they closed in 20 minutes. I went to WalMart and their tech was out sick. I stopped by Herraras up the street and their shop had a line. I called A Better Deal and someone picked up immediately and told me to come over. I pulled in and Derrick was sitting there ready to assist. I was in and out in 10 minutes with a new tire to get me on my way. No need for email sign ups or app specials. Just very simple business dealings. Would happily go back and send others. They don't accept credit card but they do accept cash, other epayment options and there's a ATM machine across the street.
